1. Welcome to Nanak Vidya
Nanak Vidya is a Sikh education platform built to serve the global Sangat for 1,000 years. By using our platform, you agree to these terms. We have designed them to be simple, fair, and aligned with Sikh values of honesty and seva.
2. Use of the Platform
You may use Nanak Vidya for personal, educational, and community purposes. The Gurbani and Sikh teachings on this platform are sacred — please engage with them with respect and reverence. You may not use the platform to spread misinformation about Sikhism or the Sikh Gurus.
3. Accuracy of Sikh Content
All Gurbani translations, historical accounts, and theological content on Nanak Vidya are researched and prepared with care, drawing from authoritative sources including SikhiWiki, SikhNet, and the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. If you notice an error, please contact us at seva@nanakvidya.com — we take accuracy seriously.
4. Intellectual Property
The Gurbani (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji) belongs to the entire Panth and humanity. Our original platform design, code, and non-scripture content are property of Nanak Vidya. You may share Gurbani verses for educational and devotional purposes.
5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Please use a strong password and do not share your credentials. Learning progress and streak data is stored on our secure servers.
6. Subscriptions and Seva
Nanak Vidya is free to access. Premium features may require a "seva subscription" — a contribution that supports the platform's mission. All subscription fees go toward maintaining and improving the platform for the global Sangat.
7. Disclaimer
Nanak Vidya is an educational platform. While we strive for theological accuracy, we are not a religious authority. For guidance on Sikh religious matters, please consult a Granthi, the Akal Takhat, or the SGPC.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform grows. We will notify registered users of significant changes. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
