Life and Teachings

When Kashmiri Hindu Pandits came to him pleading for protection from forced conversion under Aurangzeb, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji walked to Delhi and offered his own life rather than convert. He was beheaded at Chandni Chowk in 1675. He defended the right of every religion to exist freely — even religions other than his own.
